Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and Building Principals, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Teacher identifies the language and communication needs of the student with a hearing loss and assist with remediation of needs. The itinerant will provide educational service, assist in proper placement of students, and determine the educational impact of hearing loss on the student. The itinerant will give academic support or remediation necessary to keep students with hearing loss functioning in regular classes at a maximum potential. The itinerant will cooperate and maintain liaison between all necessary school personnel, allied medical personnel and the Audiologist.
